Samantha Yves O. Placido obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the San Beda University College of Law. In law school, she was a legal aid intern, the Vice President of Internal Affairs of the San Beda Legal Aid Bureau, and a member of the San Beda Human Rights Advocates.

Ms. Placido also obtained a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, Major in Economics and Minor in Political Science from the University of the Philippines-Baguio. During her undergraduate studies, she was a consistent college scholar.
